When you replace the drum unit in your Brother printer, it's often prompted to reset the drum counter to ensure accurate tracking of your drum life. Follow these simple steps to reset the drum counter properly.
⚠️ Important: Do not reset the drum counter unless you are actually replacing the drum unit.
✅ Step-by-Step Instructions:

Close the front cover of your printer.

Make sure the printer is turned on.

Press the Settings button (usually shown as a wrench or gear icon).

If your printer shows All Settings on the home screen, you can skip the previous step and go directly to the next.

Press All Settings (this may be skipped on some models).

Navigate to:
Machine Info.
orMachine Information
→ Parts Life -
Press and hold Drum or Drum Life until you see the display message change.

Press Yes to confirm.

Finally, press the Home button to return to the main screen.
